Lalla Essaydi

I was drawn to this photographer's choice of patterns. The second photo, reminded me of something  Emilio Pucci might have created.  Upon further research, realized that this Modern Photographer featured in Edward Houk Gallery NY, has a much bigger message. Her passion for women's equality is nothing short of admirable, not to mention her use of brilliantly blended patterns.  I find the true beauty in what these patterns and house meant for the women who were confined there. For it was their literal experience of confinement, which makes this visual modern art form, most admirable.
